Senior Social Worker - Case Management Team (North East)

About the RoleShropshire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join its Case Management Team (North East).This role offers an opportunity to work with children and families across the full statutory spectrum, supporting them through Child in Need, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings and court processes. You will manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely interventions and positive outcomes for children and young people. Location: Shropshire Council (North East Team) Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office Contract: 3 months initially Rate: 30.57 per hour (Umbrella) Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of children and families across CIN, CP, PLO, and court proceedingsUndertake regular home visits to assess risk and support familiesLead and participate in core group meetings and multi-agency discussionsPrepare high-quality court reports and documentation for legal proceedingsBuild strong relationships with children, families, and partner agenciesAssess risk and implement effective safeguarding plansEnsure all work is completed in line with statutory requirements and best practice About You Be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work EnglandHave strong experience within a case management / safeguarding teamBe confident managing cases across CIN, CP, PLO, and court workDemonstrate excellent report writing and analytical skillsBe skilled in multi-agency working and safeguarding practiceHave the ability to work independently while ..... full job details .....
