Senior Social Worker - Adult Prevention Team

Your new role This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior social worker to join the Prevention Team on a full-time permanent basis.There has never been a better time to join our team and participate in growing our service to be innovative, creative - providing high quality support to people when they need it most.The main aim of the team is to use a strength-based approach to enable people to live safely in the community, maximising their abilities to care for themselves and to support carers to continue in their caring role as long as they are able to. The team work creatively with people and their carers to empower them and identify individual and community-based assets.The successful candidate will support the Team Manager in providing expert leadership and professional guidance to a team of Social Workers and Social Care Assessors. As well as taking a professional lead when required for Care Act (2014) assessments and statutory reviews, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards safeguarding enquiries and Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessment /chairing ''best interest'' meetings.When joining the team, you will be required to manage complex caseloads, involving assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate action to ensure resources are utilised effectively to safeguard and promote the welfare of people using services.
