Senior Site Reliability Engineer, GCPI''m recruiting for a Senior GCP Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, scalability and performance of cloud-hosted services.This is a hands-on engineering role covering GCP, production Kubernetes, Terraform and Dynatrace, with a strong focus on automation, observability and reducing manual operational work.This is a long term contract based in Manchester (hybrid) and inside IR35 paying circa £500 a day.Key responsibilities:Improve availability, resilience and performance across GCP applications and platforms.Define SLIs, SLOs and error budgets to measure service health and guide improvements.Build actionable Dynatrace dashboards, distributed tracing and SLO-based alerting.Develop reusable Terraform modules and administer production Kubernetes environments.Automate operational tasks and enhance CI/CD pipelines.Lead incident response, root-cause analysis and improvements that prevent repeat failures. Experience required:Strong hands-on GCP engineering and production operations.Proven SRE experience across reliability, resilience and observability.Dynatrace instrumentation, monitoring and alerting.Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux/Unix.CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.Scripting with Python, Groovy, Bash or PowerShell.Strong troubleshooting, cloud networking and security knowledge.
