£560 Per Day PAYE Including Holiday Pay

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Site Agent to join a major infrastructure project near Bridgwater, taking responsibility for the delivery of a significant reinforced concrete and heavy civils package.
This is a long-term freelance opportunity with work programmed through to 2029, offering excellent continuity on one of the UK’s largest and most technically challenging infrastructure schemes.
A major focus of the position will be design coordination, working between the design, engineering and construction teams to ensure information is technically correct, buildable and available in line with programme.

The Project Works include:

• Major in-situ reinforced concrete structures
• Retaining walls and reinforced bases
• Formwork, falsework and reinforcement
• Deep drainage and infrastructure
• Heavy foundations and structural concrete
• Earthworks and temporary works

The Role

As Senior Site Agent, you’ll take ownership of a substantial package of works, leading delivery while providing the key interface between design, engineering, construction and commercial teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Taking overall responsibility for safe and successful delivery of your package
• Leading design coordination between site, designers and construction teams
• Reviewing designs for buildability, sequencing and construction methodology
• Driving design information and resolving technical queries ahead of programme
• Managing design changes, RFIs and technical interfaces
• Coordinating permanent and temporary works requirements
• Leading Site Agents, Section Engineers, Site Engineers and delivery teams
• Managing subcontractors and specialist RC packages
• Developing short and medium-term programmes and construction sequencing
• Monitoring progress against programme and implementing recovery measures where required
• Chairing design, progress and coordination meetings
• Ensuring QA, ITP and project specification requirements are achieved
• Working closely with commercial teams around change, risk and package performance
• Managing site logistics, resources and material requirements
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Reporting progress, risks and technical issues to senior project leadership

About You

We’re looking for an established Senior Site Agent with experience delivering complex reinforced concrete or heavy civil engineering packages.
Your background could include:

• Major infrastructure
• Reinforced concrete structures
• Bridges or tunnels
• Nuclear or energy
• Water infrastructure
• Major structural and heavy civils packages

You’ll need:

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
• Strong RC and heavy civils experience
• Proven design coordination experience
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
• Strong understanding of temporary works and construction sequencing
• Excellent technical, leadership and communication skills
• Ability to identify and resolve design and buildability issues before they affect delivery
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to work within commuting distance of Bridgwater

Rate & Package

• £560 per day PAYE including holiday pay
• Contract programmed through to 2029
