Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Generator Service Engineer role

Reporting to the Service Manager you will:

• Carry out diesel generator servicing and repair at customer sites and the Hampshire depot.
• Diagnose and resolve engine electrical and mechanical faults.
• Conduct electrical installation fault finding.
• Perform control system modifications and repairs.
• Install and commission generators ranging from 10kVA to 2000kVA.
• Complete service reports and advise customers on remedial work.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Time-served with formal qualifications in plant maintenance and repair, or significant hands-on experience with generators or similar equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• UPS experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
