Senior Service Designer

On behalf of the Intellectual Property Office, we are looking for a Senior Service Designer (Inside IR35) for a 12 month remote contract with occasional visits to the Newport office. The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is the official UK government body responsible for intellectual property (IP) rights including patents, designs, trademarks and copyright. IPO Policy. educating businesses and consumers about IP rights and responsibilities. supporting IP enforcement. granting UK Patents, trademarks and design rights As a Senior Service Designer: Key Tasks and Deliverables. Develop service, interaction and content design best practice, standards, and guidance. Lead Community of Practice activities internally and across government. Take responsibility for mentoring colleagues in UCD best practice. Work to agreed quality of standards, procedures, and processes in accordance with IPO and Government Digital Service (GDS) requirements and contribute to the iteration of these through the service design and content communities. Promote the value of a consistent high-quality user experience, through design and use of reusable elements, proactively engaging with colleagues across the organisation and promoting service design best practice across the IPO.
