Senior Sales Executive

OA are recruiting for a Senior Sales Executive to join our client''s highly successful and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the construction industry and heavyside building materials. You''ll play a key role in driving branch sales, developing long-term customer relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Location: Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead
Hours: 7.30am-4.30pm, 1hr for lunch.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus depending on experience

Senior Sales Executive Key Responsibilities

  • Support Branch Management with sales and marketing activities
  • Identify, develop and maximise new business opportunities
  • Build and strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Sell heavyside building materials to both trade and retail customers while maintaining profitability
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the sales process
  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Support the onboarding and development of new customer accounts
  • Assist with new product launches and promotional initiatives
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards and company procedures

Senior Sales Executive Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a builders'' merchant or construction materials environment
  • Strong knowledge of heavyside building materials
  • Proven sales and negotiation experience with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Excellent account management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to maximise margins and profitability
  • Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Confident building relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels
  • Experience preparing quotations and negotiating pricing
  • Organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety within a construction or merchant environment
