Our purpose is to provide good affordable homes in thriving communities that people love for generations.The RoleThe role will support the Safety and Compliance Specialist - Fire and wider Building Safety and Compliance team on all fire safety matters on behalf of SNG. Utilise technical expertise, experience in passive and active fire measures, in depth practical knowledge of fire risk assessments and risk mitigations.The role is responsible for maintaining high data quality in the Building Safety and Compliance team. Ensure that data is held centrally for full transparency and that suitable contract arrangements are in place for the continued management of all compliance elements within your defined areas.Working closely with the Building Safety Compliance Fire Manager, this role work with Building Safety Specialists to ensure management and controls of SNG\''s risk and responsibilities relating to fire door management.Responsibilities includePromote a positive collaborative culture of building safety and complianceWork across the Building Safety and Compliance team with an emphasis on fire safety elementsResponsible to deliver the right outcome for our customer in a safe and timely wayProactively identify any upcoming changes in legislations, regulations and landlord responsibilities to ensure SNG complianceReview the design of new builds as presented by our development team to ensure that it is suitable and sufficient in line with RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) plan of worksProvide technical support across to the fire safety team on passive and active fire installationsAttend sites to meet with external parties such as the Fire Brigade to represent SNG and take accountability of actions required in relation to fire safety for the organisationManage the direct reports with a focus on articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvementWe are looking for someone who hasExperience of working to deadlines and achieving targets through own work and work driven through teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsUp to date knowledge offire safety legislationDemonstratable knowledge and experience of fire safety subject matters within the Housing SectorQualifications and experienceMembership of the IFE / IFSM or an equivalent membership bodyUp to date knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulationsAward in Practical Fire Risk Assessment such as IFE of CS ToddKnowledge of methods to monitor the quality of data and identify issues (e.g. reconciliations)What we can offerHybrid, flexible working25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days)A chance to buy or sell holiday as part of our flexible benefits packageA generous pension scheme matching up to 12%Life cover as soon as you join usYou will be a part of our Recognition scheme where you can be gifted retail vouchersAt Sovereign Network Group, we are passionate about inclusion for all and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
