About the Opportunity:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Residential Child Care Worker to join a newly registered second home in Hale Barns.
Led by an experienced Registered Manager, this is an opportunity to join a service with strong foundations, clear leadership and a genuine commitment to providing stable, nurturing care for children and young people.

About the Role:As a Senior Residential Child Care Worker, you will:
• Lead shifts and support the safe and effective running of the home
• Provide guidance, mentoring and day-to-day support to Residential Child Care Workers
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
• Deliver trauma-informed, child-centred care and support
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and key working responsibilities
• Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, independence and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding standards
• Work alongside the Registered Manager to maintain high standards of care and practice
• Join a newly registered second home with experienced leadership already in place
• Be part of a provider focused on stability, development and sustainable growth
• Work within a supportive leadership structure where guidance is available when needed
• Have opportunities to contribute ideas and help shape practice as the service develops
• Join a team that values relationships, consistency and long-term outcomes for children
Experience & Qualifications:
• Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or working towards
• Experience working within a children's residential care setting
• Confidence leading shifts and supporting colleagues
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice
• Experience contributing to care planning and positive behaviour support
• Full UK Driving Licence desirable

• Day 1: 10:00am to 11:00pm plus sleep-in
• Day 2: 7:30am to 10:30am
• Two days off before the pattern repeats
• Basic salary of £30,000 per annum
• Sleep-in payment of £50 per night
• Paid on-call rota at £30 per on-call
• Typical annual earnings exceed £35,000 per annum depending on sleep-in and on-call participation
