Senior Roads and Drainage Engineer

Morgan Hunt are working with an Edinburgh based consultancy to recruit a Senior Roads and Drainage Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer to take a leading role in delivering infrastructure projects and supporting the continued growth of the team. You will be responsible for leading projects, liaising closely with clients, and contributing to the development of engineers and technicians. The roads and drainage team within the business work on projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with other disciplines within the business to deliver projects from conception through to completion. This role offers the chance for someone who is ready to lead and build out a department to do so within a well established business. Key Responsibilities: Take overall responsibility for the delivery of infrastructure projects, from smaller residential developments through to complex, large-scale schemes. Develop and deliver detailed infrastructure designs, including roads, drainage, earthworks, and finished site levels, progressing projects from initial feasibility and concept design through to construction. Undertake technical reviews of designs, drawings, specifications, and project documentation, ensuring they meet relevant standards, statutory requirements, and client objectives.
