Senior Road Freight Operator

Manchester 40,000 - 50,000 + packageOverview: This European road freight business are looking for an experienced Senior Road Freight Operator to join an established team. They hold their own extensive fleet and service a loyal and growing customer base in a service rather than price driven operating context.This is a key role for an individual who understands the complexities of UK-European mainland road freight operations and enjoys taking ownership of the end-to-end customer experience.Key Responsibilities:Managing busy, fast-paced daily operations of road freight into Europe from the UK whilst maintaining high standards of customer service, accuracy and communication. Provide accurate and timely quotes to customers and follow up proactively to secure business. Build and maintain customer relationships to ensure that they are satisfied with service levels and to facilitate repeat business. Handle invoicing, reporting and documentation. Work closely with fleet operations to deliver smooth service and mitigate against any operational issues. Constantly look for opportunities to improve service levels and drive operational efficiencies. Key Skills:An experienced road freight operator or freight forwarder who has a track record working on European road freight operations. Posses a strong understanding of UK-European road freight routes, documentation and customs processes. Confident in managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced transport operation.
