If so, due to continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors, and we are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a successful background in the world of Construction. You will join our Commercial team supporting a variety of projects covering the North West Region. You will support financial management of Contracts, in partnership with the Contracts Managers and/ or Project Managers.What you will be doing
Work in partnership with site management, commercially supporting sites as required, to develop a proactive site team. Ensuring that contractual obligations are identified and administered.Vet contract documentation on receipt from Client to ensure compatibility with the Company''s Tender and subsequent negotiationsProduce Commercial Risk Register for each contract. Monitor risk and assist in implementation of agreed mitigation measuresPrepare and issue enquiries for Major Plant and Equipment and Sub-Contract packages. Vet quotations commercially and negotiate price and terms with vendors. Issue resultant Purchase OrdersPrepare and submit Applications for Payment and/or Invoices, obtain Payment Certificates and progress Client Payments in accordance with contractual provisionsMeasure, submit and agree Variations, Loss and Expense and/or Compensation Events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate prompt agreement of Final AccountsMonitor on-site record keeping. Prepare and issue Notices in accordance with contractual provisionsPrepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations and Cash/Spend Profiles. Attend Contract Review MeetingsAuthorisation and coding of Suppliers'' and Sub-Contractors'' Invoices and submission to Finance for paymentMeasure, certify and agree Sub-Contractors interim valuations and final accounts. Prepare and issue contractual notices to Sub-ContractorsWho we are looking for
A quantity surveyor who has a successful construction portfolioGood knowledge of NEC ContractsEducated to BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline)Member of Profession Institution (e.g. MRICS or similar)Have knowledge and working experience of Mechanical / Electrical services and/ or utilitiesBe able to demonstrate commercial awareness/ acumenFull UK manual driving licenceThe Package
