Senior Quantity Surveyor - Utilities

Our client is a leading Civil Engineering company with a healthy order book who are looking to grow their commercial team with a Senior Q.S.

Salary to £75k | Annual Bonus | Company Vehicle or Allowance + Fuel card | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Senior Q.S Key Essentials:

* As a Senior Q.S, you will have responsibility of utility capital work projects under NEC form of contract

* Assuming line management for the wider commercial team to ensure effective commercial management of the contract

* Reviewing CVR's and margin analysis for projects for financial reporting

* Ensuring that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised

* Produce cash-flow forecasts and keep updated and report on variances

* Ensuring that contractual procedures are applied for, maintaining compliance with the company policies and procedures

* Reviewing project applications and forecasts on a regular basis with regard to monitoring actual performance against budget; providing updates and action plans

* Regularly review the supply chain; ensuring best value, including negotiation and award of subcontracts

* Ensure business targets and KPI's are exceeded and that problems are identified and resolved at an early stage

* Ensuring that accurate commercial records are kept

Senior Q.S Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Q.S on Utility Capital Works

* Excellent commercial awareness with clearly demonstrable experience at Senior Q.S level

* Good knowledge of NEC forms of contract
