We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced

Senior Quantity Surveyor

to join our friendly team. You will be located at Belvedere in Erith, South East London. This role is commutable from Greater London, Woolwich, Dagenham, Dartford, Rainham, Romford, East Ham, Wanstead, Gravesend, Hackney, Romford, Stratford, Orpington, Barking and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

As the

Senior Quantity Surveyor

you will have worked in a similar industry with experience of managing people and working on Highways, Infrastructure or Maintenance Projects.

Other responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):

Be an integral member of the commercial team supporting the Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor and provide leadership to the Quantity Surveyor’sBuild a strong relationship with internal and client counterparts as well as working with members of the team to attain your full potentialWorking on commercial projects from pre contract stage through to completion ensuring contracts returns are maximised and complete forecasting across all within your worksEngaging and managing sub-contracts including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applicationsSupport the production of monthly CVR''sWork to produce both internal and client forecastsProduction and substantiation through to agreement of associated Final AccountsEnsure all Riney and client processes are followed to minimise commercial riskWork with the wider team and ensure all work completed is accurately valued and followed through to cash collection

In this role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the businesses of Riney, Tarmac and CRH

A car / car allowance is available with this role and therefore you must hold a FULL UK car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points - You must be able to travel across the region of work

here at Riney you will have:

Desirable - Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying would prove highly beneficial; but we would accept applications from candidates who are QBE (Qualified by Experience)ESSENTIAL - NEC TSC contract experience, together with ICC Term Contract knowledgeGood interpersonal and problem-solving skillsGood oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical abilityProcess driven with strong commercial awareness and good negotiation skills
