Senior Quantity Surveyor

About youIf you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership of the commercial side of construction projects, this could be a really good opportunity for you.You will be joining an established construction business, working from the BN44 3AA area of West Sussex, where you will have responsibility for managing project costs, protecting margins and making sure projects are commercially successful.This is not a role where you will simply be producing reports and passing them on. You will be involved in commercial decisions, working closely with operational teams, managing subcontractors and helping more junior Quantity Surveyors develop.You will need to be commercially confident, organised and comfortable taking responsibility for your own workload.The salary is £80,000 to £85,000 per annum.Your experienceYou will need a solid background as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with experience managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.You should be confident managing subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, cost reporting, forecasting and project profitability.You will understand how to protect margins, identify commercial risks and make sure projects are performing in line with their budgets.Experience managing or mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Trainee Quantity Surveyors would also be beneficial, as there will be an opportunity to support the wider commercial team.Ideally, ..... full job details .....
