OverviewSenior Quantity Surveyor - a growing privately-owned building contractor is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading regional contractor delivering projects across commercial, blue-light, education, training, healthcare and leisure sectors ranging from £5m - £35m. The initial project is a refurbishment of a police station valued at (£8m) where you would work as the commercial lead alongside an experienced project delivery team. To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record as a Quantity Surveyor delivering construction projects for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor ranging from £2m+. Our client has cemented themselves as one of the leading construction employers in the Midlands with a strong public sector client base and framework partnerships including PAGABO, YORbuild, Department of Education, Crown Commercial Service, Procure23 and others. The company operates with traditional values and offers a friendly team environment with fair payment to sub-contractors and no shareholder pressure with sensible reporting systems in place.

Responsibilities

Procurement and managing sub-contract packages

Dealing with variations and valuations

Input during pre-construction stage

Production of CVRs

Qualifications / Requirements

Experience managing sub-contractor variations

Experience working with a building contractor

Experience dealing with final accounts

Industry related qualification

Basic salary of £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)
