Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering/Groundworks projects

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, working for a Civil Engineering contractor in the Greater Manchester area.

• Understanding of Highways/Streetworks/Utilities and new build projects and connections.
• Previous experience of working as Senior Quantity Surveyor in the UK construction industry
• Career development
• Autonomous working - capability of working with like minded individuals - managing your own developments
• Experience of various forms of construction contracts
• Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor
• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple civil engineering projects

• Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts
• Administer NEC, JCT, and bespoke forms of contract
• Identify, manage, and recover variations, compensation events, and change controls
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, forecasts, and profitability
• Produce accurate monthly cost reports and commercial forecasts
• Lead subcontract procurement and manage subcontract accounts
• Work closely with operational teams to maximise project performance
• Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors
