Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client is a long-established building and civil engineering contractor operating across the UK and Ireland who are looking to onboard a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a brand new 50m Battery Energy Storage System project.As a Senior Quantity Surveyor on this project, you will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects and enhancing our culture of innovation. You will manage contract administration, risk management and negotiation effectively to deliver the agreed profitability and cash projections, informing line management and seeking guidance as and when required.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate and liaise with System sub-contractorAdvising on contractual issuesEnsure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the companyReport to Commercial Manager about the subcontract statusAssist senior staff in pricing variations - this will not just be mechanical and electrical scopeCost controlSupport the Commercial and Contract Managers with monthly project cost reports and progress reportsProvide provision, when required to the rest of the team on managing other subcontract lifecycles, participating in procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and work packages managementMeasurement of quantitiesPreparation of monthly financial statement of anticipated Final Account detailing status of variations (budget, submitted, agreed), in ..... full job details .....
