Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor. Enabling works have already started on site, and the project is set to get fully underway this January. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the commercial function on a high-profile, secure-environment project, with a flexible hybrid working model: 3 days a week from home or the Bristol office, and 2 days a week on site in Exeter.The Project and Scope of Works: The project covers a diverse range of packages across the facility, giving you great exposure to varied technical works. Packages include (but are not limited to):Full CCTV replacementKitchen refitGas works(Note: Candidates do not need prior experience across every single package listed above)Key Responsibilities:Commercial Leadership: Take full commercial and financial lead on major packages, overseeing procurement strategies, subcontractor management, complex valuations, variations, and final account negotiations.Financial Reporting and Control: Work closely with senior leadership and the project delivery team to drive robust commercial control, accurate cost-value reconciliations (CVR), and transparent financial forecasting.Subcontract Management: Administer various standard forms of subcontract, manage supply chain relationships, and mitigate commercial risks.Mentorship and Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to junior commercial team members where required, fostering a high-performing ..... full job details .....
