Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a large tier 1 business within the construction sector to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a family-owned main contractor, playing an key role in taking full commercial responsibility and ownership for a large residential project worth around 150m in London. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Contracts Manager, Project Manager and the Construction team to successfully deliver the project, whilst maintaining relationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk.Senior Quantity Surveyor Roles and ResponsibilitiesIntegrate the commercial strategy, amending with MQS to suit project as it develops.Liaise with and commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.Take ownership for, administer and represent the company in commercial and contractual issues, including but not limited to:Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/c and finalising s/c orders, financial and commercially manage to Final Account completion.Prepare and present forecasts, targets and CV reconciliations.Prepare and agree valuations, including generating certificates and invoice/payments.Variations prepare with adequate/appropriate records, agree as works progress.Update projected Final Accounts on regular basis and prepare, submit and agree Final Account in a timely manner.Involvement in ..... full job details .....
