We are recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of major infrastructure programmes within the UK nuclear defence sector.
This role is focused on project delivery and post-contract commercial management, ensuring commercial performance is maintained throughout project execution.
The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial delivery of projects from contract award through to final account, working closely with project teams to maximise commercial performance while ensuring contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial delivery across major engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment and cost reports.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
- Assess and manage compensation events and contract variations.
- Produce accurate forecasts, CVRs and commercial reporting.
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support project managers with commercial advice.
- Ensure contractual compliance throughout project delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong post-contract Quantity Surveying experience.
- Excellent knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
- Strong commercial reporting and forecasting skills.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience within infrastructure, defence, engineering, construction or nuclear sectors.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Membership of RICS or CICES would be advantageous.
Due to the nature of the projects, the successful candidate may be required to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of UK security clearance.
