Senior Quantity Surveyor - BuildingLocation: LondonSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceOur client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Building team, working on a range of projects across London.The role will focus on fast-track healthcare, education, refurbishment and occupied-building projects, typically valued between 500k and 5m.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS to take ownership of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with clients, Project Managers, consultants and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of projects valued 500k- 5mProcurement and management of subcontractorsCost control, forecasting, valuations and reportingApplications for payment, variations and commercial claimsCVRs and financial reportingFinal accounts and commercial negotiationsIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunitiesSupport value engineering and cost-saving initiativesWork closely with operational teams and clientsMentor Assistant and Junior Quantity SurveyorsAbout YouProven Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor experienceMain contractor background preferredExperience on 500k- 5m building projectsExperience of fast-track projectsHealthcare, education, refurbishment or fit-out experience advantageousExperience working in live/occupied buildings highly desirableStrong commercial, contractual and negotiation skillsGood knowledge of procurement, cost control ..... full job details .....
