Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Basildon, EssexSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Building team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across Essex, London and the wider region.Projects typically range from 500k to 10m and include retail, healthcare, residential, education, refurbishment and commercial schemes, including works within live and occupied buildings.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS to take full ownership of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with clients, Project Managers, consultants and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of projects valued 500k- 10mManage projects from procurement through to final accountSubcontract procurement, tendering and negotiationCost control, forecasting, valuations and CVRsApplications for payment, variations and commercial claimsFinal accounts and commercial negotiationsIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunitiesSupport value engineering and cost-saving initiativesWork closely with operational teams and clientsMentor Assistant and Junior Quantity SurveyorsAbout YouProven Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor experienceMain contractor background preferredExperience managing 500k- 10m building projectsExperience across retail, healthcare, residential, education, commercial or refurbishmentExperience working within live/occupied buildings ..... full job details .....
