Senior Quantity Surveyor

Piling Recruitment Group (PRG) are recruiting on behalf of a leading ground engineering contractor for a SQS to join the Sizewell C project. 

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on a long-term geotechnical project, supporting the successful delivery of complex ground engineering works. You will be responsible for leading on the commercial management of key work packages, ensuring robust cost control, contract compliance and accurate financial reporting across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:
• Full commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
• NEC contract administration (NEC3/NEC4), including early warnings, compensation events and change management
• Preparation of CVRs, cost forecasts and monthly commercial reports
• Management of valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor accounts
• Risk management, cost control and value engineering support
• Close liaison with Project Managers, Engineers and the Client team to ensure commercial alignment
• Supporting procurement strategy and negotiation of subcontract terms

We’re looking for someone with:
• Strong NEC contract experience
• A background in civil engineering, piling or ground engineering
• Experience working on major infrastructure or heavy civils projects
• Excellent commercial, cost management and reporting skills
• Strong understanding of subcontractor management and procurement processes
• The ability to manage work packages and work closely with operational teams
• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS accreditation desirable but not essential)
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability
