OVERVIEWOur client is a market leading consultancy with a great reputation for delivering construction, fit-out, and refurbishment schemes for the UK’s leading clients within the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors.

They are currently seeking a professional Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial management team, helping them to deliver a major refurbishment programme for one of the UK’s largest hotel chains.

ABOUT THE ROLEYou will take responsibility for a portfolio of your own schemes. Key responsibilities will include:Provide accurate cost management and financial oversight for hotel’s fit-out and refurbishment schemes.Monitor project progress and deliverables, ensuring all stages are completed on time and within budget.Contract and sub-contract administration.Conduct regular site visits and inspections, ensuring compliance with contracts, budgets, and schedules.Collaborate with framework contractor, sub-contractors and other multi-disciplined consultants involved with the project.Manage change control and mitigate risks associated with the live building environment.

ABOUT YOUSuitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification.Pre and post contract cost management experience, including setting budgets, managing change, assessing risk and opportunity and procurement.Experience of working as a Employers Agent, Project Monitoring Role would be an advantage.Previous experience of fast-paced refurbishment or fit-out schemes, ideally within the hospitality, leisure or retail sectors.Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to attend site visits.
