Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure - Leeds

McM are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based out of Leeds.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across Yorkshire and the wider North of England, this is an opportunity to join a business delivering major infrastructure, utilities, highways and environmental projects, whilst benefiting from genuine career progression and long-term stability.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects

• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance

• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and valuations

• Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities

• Supporting project delivery teams to maximise profitability

• Negotiating and agreeing variations and final accounts

• Producing accurate financial reporting for senior management

• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders

What We''re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities

• Strong NEC contract knowledge

• Experience managing projects from tender through to completion

• Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual awareness

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• Full UK driving licence
