Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor needed for contract position workoing on Thames Water projects .

• Lead full commercial activities across water-sector construction projects
• Administer contracts including early warnings/compensation events, change control, and commercial correspondence with the client and supply chain.
• Produce and maintain cost reports: forecasts, CVRs, earned value/progress measures, and monthly commercial packs for senior stakeholders.
• Manage applications for payment, valuations, payment notices, and ensure timely cash collection in line with contract requirements.
• Procure and manage subcontractors: tendering, negotiation, contract placement, performance monitoring, and commercial issue resolution.
• Prepare, assess and agree variations, quotations and claims, ensuring robust substantiation and contemporaneous records.
• Support project teams with risk and opportunity management (commercial risk register), cost-to-complete, and mitigation actions.
• Work closely with delivery teams (PMs, Engineers, Planners) to align programme, progress, and cost, and challenge cost drivers where needed.
• Ensure governance and compliance: audit-ready records, accurate document control, and adherence to internal commercial processes and client frameworks.
