Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Residential New Build
Location: Nottingham
Salary: Up to -80,000 per annum (DOE)

Linsco are delighted to be working alongside our client, who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Nottingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in high-volume residential house building, looking to take responsibility for the commercial management of a number of developments.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with the wider commercial and construction teams to manage costs, maximise profitability and ensure developments are delivered in line with budgets, programmes and business objectives.

Key Duties:

• Take responsibility for the commercial management of designated residential developments.
• Monitor and manage build and infrastructure costs, cash flow, variations and budgets at site and plot level.
• Prepare and review monthly valuations, cost reports and commercial forecasts.
• Procure subcontract trades in line with company procedures, ensuring competitive pricing and best value.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Work closely with Contracts Managers and Site Managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage potential cost overruns.
• Provide detailed cost and budget analysis throughout the build programme.
• Support the development and agreement of site start programmes and timescales.
• Attend regular subcontractor meetings to review performance and commercial progress.
• Produce commercial reports and KPI updates for the Commercial Director.
• Ensure all commercial processes, expenditure and reporting comply with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within a high-volume residential housebuilding environment.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial procedures and surveying practices.
• Good understanding of build methods, sequencing and their financial implications.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and valuations.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider commercial team.
