Senior Quantity Surveyor

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Hyde or Wigan with hybrid working available Salary: 65-70k (Neg DOE), car/allowance and excellent benefits package The Role: Our client is delivering on behalf of United Utilities one of the largest and most varied water infrastructure improvement programmes in the UK.You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and you will be expected to manage all relevant commercial activities within the project environment. Involved in all elements of the project, supporting the wider project team and junior members of staff. Responsibilities: Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages.Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost.Collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met.Manage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation.Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors.Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.Preparation of project cost and value reports, budgets and forecasts.Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff.Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
