Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on major rail and civil engineering projects?

We''re seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across Wales. Working on rail, bridges, stations, highways, tunnels and environmental schemes, you''ll play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of long-term frameworks and major infrastructure programmes.

The Role

You''ll take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure schemes are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the commercial management of rail and civil engineering projects.
• Preparing valuations, applications for payment, forecasts and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
• Administering NEC contracts and managing change, compensation events and final accounts.
• Procuring and managing subcontractors.
• Monitoring project costs, risks and commercial performance.
• Building strong relationships with clients, project teams and supply chain partners.
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where appropriate.

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within rail and/or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and delivering successful commercial outcomes.
• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (preferred).
