Senior Quantity Surveyor - HS2 Civils & Tunnels

Location: Between Water Orton & Curzon Street, Birmingham
Rate: -530550 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Until 31st December
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office/site, 2 days home working
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major HS2 infrastructure scheme delivering complex tunnel, civils, and cross passage packages between Water Orton and Curzon Street.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key commercial activities on a flagship infrastructure project, working within an established commercial team on long-term major works.

• Leading the commercial management of subcontract packages
• Managing CVRs, forecasting, and monthly commercial reporting
• Administering NEC3 Option C contracts and compensation events
• Supporting delivery teams across civils, tunnel, and cross passage works
• Managing subcontractor performance, payments, and change control
• Producing accurate cost/value reporting and financial forecasts
• Supporting commercial strategy and risk management across packages

• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects
• Strong NEC3 Option C contract knowledge is essential
• Experience managing subcontractors and leading commercial reporting processes
• Background in civils, tunnelling, rail, or major infrastructure projects preferred
• Experience using CEMAR is desirable
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Hybrid working arrangement - 3 days office/site based and 2 days from home
• Candidates must be in the office on Tuesdays
• Work from home days must remain flexible and cannot be fixed weekly
