Quantity Surveyor - GroundworksLocation - DerbyFreelance Rate - 400 - 420 per dayAbout the CompanyOur client is an established civil engineering and groundworks contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work and achieving reliable results across the UK.The business works on a range of prestigious commercial projects and has built its reputation around technical expertise, dependable project delivery and a highly skilled workforce.Due to a new project in Derby, they are looking to appoint an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the post-contract commercial management of a major groundworks package.The RoleThe successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the post-contract commercial management of a 3.5m warehouse groundworks package in Derby.This is a site-based commercial role requiring someone with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering, who is confident managing the commercial aspects of a project from contract award through to final account.The role offers a flexible working arrangement of 3 days on site and 2 days working from home.Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesTake responsibility for the post-contract commercial management of the 3.5m groundworks packageManaging project costs, budgets and forecastsPreparing and reviewing CVRs and financial reportsManaging subcontractor accounts and paymentsReviewing and agreeing valuationsManaging variations, ..... full job details .....
