An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a flagship energy project on the West London/Berkshire border. The opportunity would be well suited to a QS ready to step into a Senior QS position and looking for more autonomy.

Working as part of an experienced site-based commercial team, The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the end-to-end commercial management of complex civils, building structures and M&E packages on a high value, flagship energy project for National Grid, valued at more than -300m.

Responsibilities

• Subcontract procurement and commercial management
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Variations and change management
• Valuations and final accounts
• Supporting commercial strategy and risk management
• Administration of NEC contracts
• Working closely with delivery teams across civils, structures and M&E works
• Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors on the project

Candidate Requirements

• Experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, heavy civils or major building projects
• Good understanding of NEC contracts
• Experience managing subcontract packages
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred
