Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor - contract basis in Glasgow for a Nuclear Defence Support project. The role focuses on providing Quantity Surveying expertise to drive strategic value and operational excellence across internal stakeholders, client, and suppliers/subcontractors.Role Responsibilities

Provide commercial management and support to Quantity Surveyors as applicable for each project/contractReview contracts and draft subcontract terms as requiredProvide commercial support and expertise to projects, covering bid governance, reviews, change management, compensation event contractual notices, etc.Manage the tender process and evaluate major/bespoke equipment/services providers to ensure fair, robust, and well-documented evaluationManage post-contract commercial management of subcontracts during project execution and mitigate exposure to subcontractor claimsSettlement of Final Accounts with Sub-contractorsExperience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

Good understanding of day-to-day commercial administration in the Engineering and Construction industriesExperience managing multiple projects concurrentlyExperience delivering to project commercial strategy and large/complex contracts and bidsExperience supporting large-scale projects and complex change initiatives using appropriate methodologiesExcellent NEC4 skills; ideally Professional Services ContractExperience using CEMAR for contract administration and change management under NEC contractsEducated to degree level (or equivalent) in Building Services Quantity Surveying or a general Degree in Quantity Surveying2 year project longevityHybrid roleCompany information
