About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team of reputable Main Contractor who have a turnover of nearly -900m. You will be the commercial lead on a -30m commercial cut & carve scheme in Central London where you will be based.

The company are privately owned and have been growing in the construction industry for over 150 years with over 5 offices across the UK. They predominately focus on leisure, lab, student accommodation, healthcare, education and commercial projects valued from -20m - -100m.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

Include but not limited to:

• Monitor costs against project budget
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Implement procurement strategies
• Negotiate and agree final accounts
• Manage change control
• Ensure compliance with contractual notice requirements
• Produce monthly valuations and applications for payment
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Mentor junior members of staff

Key Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Live within commutable distance to Central London
• Experience as a commercial lead at a main contractor on projects valued -15m+
• Ideally gained experience on cut & carve or commercial projects
• Degree educated in a construction related subject
