We''re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. You''ll take full commercial responsibility from tender through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while driving value, managing risk, and supporting strategic business objectives.
What''s on Offer
- Salary: -50,000 - -55,000 depending on experience
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am-12:00pm
- Office-based role (5 days per week)
- SC Clearance required or the ability to obtain it
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you''ll be the commercial lead across multiple projects, working closely with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to maximise profitability and ensure contractual compliance.
You''ll be responsible for:
- Managing the commercial lifecycle from tender to final account
- Leading cost control, forecasting, CVRs, cashflow, WIP and commercial reporting
- Administering JCT, NEC and ICHEME contracts
- Managing contract variations, change control and commercial negotiations
- Procuring and managing subcontractors
- Identifying commercial risks and implementing recovery strategies
- Preparing and negotiating interim applications and final accounts
- Supporting estimating, tender reviews and pre-construction activities
- Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring commercial governance, compliance and robust record keeping
- Mentoring junior commercial team members and promoting best practice
About You
You''ll be a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership and influencing project success.
You''ll have:
- 7-10 years'' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within main contracting or project delivery
- A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC and ICHEME contracts
- Experience managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects
- Proven success leading commercial negotiations and resolving contractual issues
- Excellent financial reporting, forecasting and CVR experience
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
Desirable
- Chartered (or working towards) RICS membership
- Experience managing multiple or complex projects
- CSCS Card
