Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Civils project!Location: ManchesterSalary: 70,000 + packageEmployment: PermanentSector: Major Civils / Water / InfrastructureWorking Pattern: 5 days per week on site/officeI''m recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering major civil engineering projects across Manchester.This is a permanent opportunity with a strong pipeline of long-term infrastructure work. Ideally, you''ll have a background in water, heavy civils or major infrastructure and be comfortable commercially managing projects and subcontract packages from procurement through to final account.Key DutiesCommercial management of major civils projects and packagesSubcontractor procurement, negotiation and appointmentManaging subcontractor accounts, valuations and paymentsPreparing applications for paymentCost reporting, forecasting and CVRsManaging variations, change and compensation eventsIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunitiesSupporting NEC contract administrationWorking closely with project managers and operational teamsClient and supply chain commercial meetingsManaging project cash flow and financial performancePreparing, negotiating and agreeing final accountsSupporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial teamWhat We''re Looking ForExperience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructureStrong water, heavy civils or major infrastructure experience preferredGood knowledge of NEC ..... full job details .....
