Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Hertfordshire Sector: Civil Engineering / Specialist Subcontractor Industry: Building and Construction Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 per annum + BenefitsOverviewOur client is a well-established specialist contractor operating across the UK, delivering complex projects within the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesContract and Commercial ManagementLead commercial administration across projects under NEC3/4, JCT, and bespoke contractsEnsure all contractual notices, early warnings, and communications are issued correctly and on timeProvide expert advice on contractual matters, risk, and entitlementManage extensions of time, compensation events, variations, and disputesFinancial Management and Cost ControlPrepare and manage cost plans, CVRs, and cashflow forecastsReview subcontractor costs, plant, labour, and resource allocationsEnsure accurate valuations and strong cash recoveryIdentify and report commercial risks and opportunitiesClient and Stakeholder ManagementAct as the lead commercial interface with clients and main contractorsAttend commercial meetings, progress reviews, and negotiationsSupport strong working relationships to enhance project outcomesChange Control and ReportingManage change control processes including variations and compensation eventsMaintain accurate records to support claims and entitlementProduce monthly reports, including CVRs and financial updates for senior leadershipOperational SupportWork ..... full job details .....
