Our client, a leading organisation within the infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Northampton, working on HS2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently carry out tasks and lead a small group of commercial staff as needed
- Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts
- Monitor cost against targets and contract progress in conjunction with other team disciplines
- Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays, and performance adjustments
- Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts, and sub-contract final accounts
- Prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors
- Provide contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with contract and legal obligations
- Negotiate and resolve any disputes and identify potential commercial risks, evaluating options for control and management
Job Requirements:
- Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
- Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar)
- Significant experience at Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating skill in delivering positive commercial outcomes
- Ability to listen, learn, and take on new concepts while mentoring junior team members
- Hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle
- Hold a valid CSCS card
