Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for-one of the fastest growing utility engineering contractors in the UK!
We are-looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with water experience-who has-strong technical expertise, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills.
Salary - -65,000 - -75,000 + pkg
Duties
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.
- Develop detailed project budgets, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Monitor project costs throughout the process and identify areas where costs can be optimised.
- Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate efficient procurement processes.
- Monitor contract performance and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise during the construction phase.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure that projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Track project expenditure and prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
- Analyze cost variances and identify potential risks or opportunities that may impact project profitability.
- Measure and quantify construction work using appropriate measurement methods.
- Prepare accurate valuations of completed work for interim and final payments to contractors and subcontractors.
- Identify and assess risks associated with projects, including cost overruns, delays, and contractual disputes.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of risks on project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor''s degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with water/ wastewater experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
