Senior Quantity Surveyor

We''re seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering major civil engineering and utilities projects. Based near Shrewsbury, with hybrid working available, this role offers the opportunity to take full commercial ownership of high-value schemes while working within a collaborative, supportive team.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you''ll manage the financial and contractual performance of assigned projects from procurement through to final accounts. You''ll work closely with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor and control costs, ensure compliance with NEC contracts, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee commercial management of projects and work packages
Prepare subcontract documentation and manage subcontractor performance
Produce valuations, budgets, forecasts, and cost/value reports
Ensure timely contractual notices and correspondence
Liaise with clients to meet project and business requirements
Mentor junior commercial staff as required
About You:
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
Working towards (or holding) professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICES)
Experience in civil engineering, utilities, or MEICA projects
Strong NEC3 contract knowledge
Proven ability to manage costs, contracts, and stakeholder relationships
