Senior Quantity Surveyor

A great opportunity to join a national contractor recognised for delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure schemes across the highways and rail sectors, including smart motorway upgrades, active travel routes, transport hubs, and bridge replacement programmes. With a growing annual turnover of over -320 million they operate nationally and hold long-term collaborative partnerships with clients like National Highways and Network Rail.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will join our clients Rail division, working on the Wales & Western framework. You will have experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor on NEC contracts.- A history of managing and developing less senior members of a commercial team is essential.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be:

• Oversee commercial delivery of an NEC contract
• Monitor cost performance and contract compliance.
• Manage project finances: forecasting, cost control, and achieving profit/cash targets.
• Administer contracts, including payments, claims, and change control.
• Lead procurement and ensure supply chain compliance and performance.
• Identify risks/opportunities and support resolution of commercial queries and disputes.
• Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and monthly CVRs.

Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Civil Engineering.
• Confident working independently and managing commercial duties and junior members of the team.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge and cost control skills.
• Effective communicator and relationship builder across teams and supply chain.

Salary and benefits include:
