JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor is to manage all assigned commercial activities within the project environment. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be involved with all aspects of the project lifecycle, seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money whilst achieving the required standards and quality in accordance with contract and Customer’s and/or Contract Leader expectations.

The role will focus on post Contract management of Main Civils Framework Package awarded on NEC 4 terms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

Overall NEC 4 Contract Management utilising CEMAR for administrationApplication assessment and agreementForecasting and Variance reportingAuditing and verification of Defined CostChange Management NEC ProcessManagement of Extra Scope and Budget verificationInvolvement in Monthly Cost and Value Reporting

Essential:

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Post-graduate commercial experience in the construction industry with demonstrable track record of achievementDemonstrable financial and commercial acumen.

Desirable:

A creative and innovative approach to problem solving.Extensive Civils Experience on NEC formsMain Contracting BackgroundCEMAR experience

Essential:

QUALIFICATIONS

Holds an RICS / CICES accredited degree

Desirable:

Senior Quantity Surveyors will hold or be nearing completion of Full Membership with RICS / CIEC
