Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist facade contractor based in Essex who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

The Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple facade projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring financial performance and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple facade and cladding projects.
• Prepare, review and negotiate subcontractor packages.
• Produce valuations, variations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators and Clients to maximise project profitability.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Previous experience working on facade, cladding or external envelope projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is preferred.
