Senior Quantity Surveyor
A leading global multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Property team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established cost management team working across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own commissions, work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to the continued growth of the Bristol office.
The team delivers projects across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, public sector and mixed-use developments, providing cost and commercial advice from early feasibility through to project completion.
The Role- Lead cost management commissions from feasibility and concept through to completion and final account.
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, feasibility studies and financial reports.
- Manage procurement and tender processes, advising clients on appropriate procurement strategies.
- Administer contracts and manage valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
- Provide strategic cost and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage client relationships and work closely with project managers, designers and wider consultancy teams.
- Take responsibility for project delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs and effective commercial management.
- Support the development of junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and contribute to repeat business and new opportunities.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Strong consultancy-side Quantity Surveying / Cost Management experience.
- Proven experience delivering projects across one or more of the commercial, residential, education, healthcare or public sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of cost planning, procurement and contract administration.
- Confident working directly with clients and senior project stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, commercial and analytical skills.
- MRICS qualified, or actively working towards chartership.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
- £60,000 - £70,000, dependent on experience.
