Esh GroupWe are looking for a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide expert financial and commercial management across a range of civil engineering projects within Esh Civils. This role is key to ensuring accurate measurement, valuation, and cash flow management, supporting the successful delivery of each scheme. Your contribution will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest commercial standards.Location:
DurhamWhat We Will Expect From You
Preparation and submission of interim payment applications and project final accountsKnowledge and experience in using civil engineering standard forms of contract including NEC3 and NEC4Notification of early warnings and playing a key role in risk reductionNotification of compensation eventsAssessing and submitting quotations for compensation eventsWorking with the project team to ensure good quality and accurate site recordsAttendance at meetings with the Client Representatives as requiredProduction of project financial forecasts and reports in line with the company commercial reporting timetableSubcontractor procurement and management – approval of subcontract orders and paymentsValuation, certification and/or approval of payments to Sub-ContractorsAid and mentor the QS team in their development and in achieving company objectivesThe above list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other or additional duties from time to time as part of the role.Qualifications
10 years’ experience and a proven track record in the commercial environmentIdeally HND, degree or equivalent is desirableCompetent in construction processes and proceduresExperience of Microsoft and office IT packagesProven experience of working within different contract frameworksExperience in working with contract documentation specific to the roleComprehensive contracting and commercial skillsAttributes and Skills
