Rate: Up to £500 per day (Umbrella PAYE)Location: MelkshamWorking Pattern: Minimum 3 days per week on substation sites / 2 days from homeContract: Contract IR35: Inside IR35Start: ASAPAre you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC contract experience looking for your next opportunity within the Energy Transmission and Distribution sector?We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major substation projects across Melksham working within a Transmission and Renewables team delivering infrastructure at voltages up to 400kV.The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and clients to manage cost, risk and contractual performance.Job Role Managing the commercial aspects of projects from inception through to final accountAdministering NEC3 / NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation EventsProducing CVRs, forecasts and commercial reportsManaging project costs, budgets and financial performanceIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunitiesProcurement and commercial management of subcontractorsManaging variations and Compensation EventsNegotiating and agreeing costs with clients and subcontractorsWorking closely with Project Managers, Engineers and wider delivery teamsSupporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required Requirements Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior ..... full job details .....
