Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC Option C expertise to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key commercial role on complex, technically challenging schemes, with a particular focus on tunnelling works.As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of projects operating under NEC Option C (Target Cost) contracts. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and the supply chain to ensure robust cost control, proactive risk management, and successful commercial outcomes.Given the nature of the projects, experience within tunnelling or underground works will be highly advantageous, enabling you to confidently manage the complexities and risks associated with these environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commercial management across projects delivered under NEC Option C contractsDevelop and manage target costs, pain/gain mechanisms, and cost forecastingAdminister contracts in line with NEC processes, including early warnings, compensation events, and change controlProvide detailed cost reporting, including forecasts, earned value analysis, and variance reportingManage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performanceAssess and agree applications for payment, variations, and final accountsIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, particularly within complex engineering ..... full job details .....
