Senior Quantity Surveyor

An established and growing contractor specialising in commercial, leisure and education fit out and refurbishment projects is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is a key role within the business, taking commercial responsibility for multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously, typically ranging in value from £200k to £2.5m and operating across 12-16 week programmes. The successful candidate will have strong experience within the fit out and refurbishment sector and be confident managing projects through the complete commercial lifecycle, from procurement and pre-construction through to delivery, practical completion and final account. Key Responsibilities: Take full commercial responsibility for multiple fit out and refurbishment projects. Manage projects from pre-construction and procurement through to practical completion and final account. Prepare project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts and commercial reports. Manage subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, analysis, negotiation and placement of orders. Review subcontractor quotations and ensure packages are procured in line with project budgets and programmes. Prepare and manage client valuations, applications for payment and variations. Manage subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts. Monitor project costs, profitability, risk and commercial performance throughout the contract.
