This is your chance to grow with us.As part of the Regional Buildings division, you will join the team working and based at QEH in Birmingham. This role is suited to a commercially bias lateral thinking individual who possesses an inquisitive and investigative mindset, ideally a Senior QS with Claims/arbitration experience, as well as experience in PFI Contracts and a legal understanding.Working in the post construction stage of the project, the role will include the identification and interpretation of contractual exposure / entitlement; review of existing supply chain contract documentation; and exploring liability and recovery of cost.Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the role will also involve some traditional QS related tasks typically including pricing of variations, cost planning, forecast modelling, and minimising risk / maximising opportunities appropriately both up and downstream.The ideal candidate will have previous life cycle cost modelling experience, and involvement in cost recovery exercises through claim preparation for delays and disruption. Experience of Facilities Management and / or PFI contracts are desirable but not essential. Particular interest in law, contracts and complex contentious matters is beneficial, although specific experience is less important than mindset.This is a unique opportunity to join a market leading Contractor and dynamic Commercial team.
